Default Ofiice 2007, Vista and Lenovo

Hi, I bought a Lenovo T61 supplied with Vista and Office 2007. Not wanting to
transfer all my junk from the old Dell, I transferred program by program. Now
when I go to save a new document from a blank, I get a window which says:
"C:\Users\Paul\Documents\prose\xxdocx" or such and then "You don't have
permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain
permission. Would you llike to save in the documents folder instead?" I can
save it to the desktop. If I try to modify an existing doc and save, it says
that it is read only--compatable mode. Whooey!
