Default Text content automated/linked elsewhere in document

Is there a way in Word to type a heading for example on a page and have the
heading words appear elsewhere in the document in a list or other text box
and can a different format be applied to it?

One way to repeat the text of a heading is to use a cross-reference. Note,
however, that cross-references must be updated, for example, by switching to
Print Preview. For other methods to repeat data, see
http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Repeating_Data.htm.

If you are using Word 2007 (and if you don't need the document to be
backward compatible), you can make use of content controls to easily repeat
contents through-out a document. See
http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Mapped_Content_Control.htm.

If you are trying to create a table of contents, see
http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html. If you want to repeat
the immediately preceding heading, a StyleRef field will do what you want.
