What do you want to happen to the other text you insert above it?
One possibility is to insert a (borderless) frame at a fixed position on the page to contain the line. This is the approach used to format envelopes. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org SharlieSharp wrote: I need to create a line in a specific position in a word document and I want it to stay there when I add text above the line.
