How do I remove "Read Only" status from a document?
I've created my first CD - re-writable. When I try to make changes, I get the
message that it's a Read Only document. I didn't set them up that way; just opened them like any other Word document. I then transferred all the documents to the CD. I knew I'd be making changes in the future. I've tried everything I can think of to remove this; including deselecting the Read Only status in Properties. Any suggestions? Thank you for your kind assistance with this matter. |

How do I remove "Read Only" status from a document?
Hello -
If you search the ng you will find plenty of confirmation on the issue... Never attempt to edit files on removable media or save directly to removable media. Copy to your hard drive, edit there, then move or copy to the CD, floppy, etc. Copy back to the HD for further revision. Likewise, save new files to the HD, then move or copy to the removable Regards |:) "MarvinsGardens" wrote: I've created my first CD - re-writable.
