offer anything but a guess & few will take the time to do even that.

Is there a section break in the doc... following page 5?

Removing the section break should resolve the problem, but if the break must
remain you'll have to print pages 1-5, then 6-40. If there are more section
breaks in the doc the same thing may happen there. You may be able to do it
all as a single job if you use the Pages: option when you print & specify
each range of pages (such as: 1-5,6-22,23-40).

Choosing "Document" under "Print what" and "All" for "Page range" (with "All
pages in range" for "Print") should print the entire thing, notwithstanding
the presence of section breaks. If numbering restarts in any section, it
will be necessary to add section numbers to a page range to print part of
the document. See the "Print specific pages and sections" portion of the
"Print a document" Help topic.
