can I download office 97 on xp home edition 2005
If the CD that you have is a retail version of Office 97, that is, it did
not come pre-installed on another computer, you can, if you have the Product Key for it, install it on your new computer. If it came installed on an earlier computer, the licence only allows you to use it on that computer. You can download a trial version of Office 2003 from http://www.microsoft.com/office/trial/default.mspx -- Hope this helps.
