Default how do I stop the cursor from jumping to the bottom of the page o.

My operating system is Windows 97 and I have inherited a fault in Microsoft
Word whereby the cursor jumps to the bottom of the page when I select
carriage return.

I have checked the settings for line spacing and paragraphs and all seems OK.

Is anyone able to provide me with some assistance on the above?

Regards
Chuck

Hi Chuck,

The description is a bit confusing, but I think what you're seeing is an
option setting, not a fault.

Go to File Page Setup Layout and set the vertical alignment to Top. It
sounds like the value now is Justified.
