Default How do I reset the fill color button on a word toolbar?

How do I reset the "fill color button" on a Word drawing toolbar? Now when I
click the button, the box that normally shows all the colors, is blank. In
other words it does not show any colors. It simply shows all the boxes but
they are not colored. How can I reset this? I do not know what caused this
problem. Using Mircrosoft Word 2003

Do you have an AutoShape selected when you click on the button? I also see
blank squares if I click on the button with no AutoShape selected.
