Why does Word keep Changing to Pica from Inches
For some reason, every once in a while I will open Word and the default view
for the ruler is points..... I have to reset it to inches. Sometimes even the view changes on its own. Anyone know why this takes place and why I have to keep changing it? Thanks so much. Bryan Bloom |

See http://www.gmayor.com/Character_Units.htm
However if you are sure they are points and not character units and this is Word 2003, you may be suffering from Word's reluctance to hold some random settings in the registry data key. The easy solution to that is to force the measurement units with auto macros for each document i.e. add the line Options.MeasurementUnit = wdInches to both an autoopen and an autonew macro in normal.dot see http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Bryan Bloom wrote: For some reason, every once in a while I will open Word and the default view for the ruler is points.....
