Default How to open documents in seperate windows?

Microsoft Word 2000. How do I open documents of the same program in seperate
windows? When I open two word documents, for example, the document opened
last replaces the first one I opened. This is the same for all of the other
programs on Office 2000.

Thankyou for your replies, but I have realised that I actually have Office 97
rather than 2000, so your suggestions obviously didnt work. Is there a way to
do it with Office 97.
