Pages too wide in Word 2003 when opening Word 2000 docs
I just upgraded from Office 200 to Office 2003. When I open an exisitng
document (created with Word 200) in Word 2003, the pages show up about 2 inches wider than they should be, extending beyond the ruler on the top of the window. All settings for page size, paper size etc. look, jsut on the screen it looks wrong. How do I get Word 2003 to show me the correct page size? |

Is the Zoom setting (100%) different to previous? Regards Mike "Antje" wrote: I just upgraded from Office 200 to Office 2003. No, everything is as before. The problem also persists at different Zoom
settings. I forgot to mention in my question: The pages are plain old Letter size (8.5x11), but show up as more like 10.5x11. The troublesome documents do have tracked changes in them - the problem persists even if I turn tacking off, though. "Mike Faulkner" wrote: Antje Is the Zoom setting (100%) different to previous? Check that the Paper Size is set to A4. You describe a paper size that is more US i.e. Letter. Do you have a printer installed and is it using the correct Driver? Sorry, I wasn't clear. I use US Letter size, but on the screen it shows up
even wider than that. Printer and driver are ok. Btw: The same problem is happening on other co-workers PCs as well. "Mike Faulkner" wrote: Antje Check that the Paper Size is set to A4. The document contains either comments or tracked changes; the extra margin
allows for the display (and printing) of "balloons." -- Suzanne S.
