Default Split Screen and Display Different Documents

Is there a way to split the screen using Word 2000 to display two or more
different documents? I know how to split the screen to display different
parts of the same document but I would like to view a totally different
document while editing the active document.

Hi Al,

No, not really. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/SDIMDI.htm for
an explanation. If that feature is really important to you, replace 2000
with 2002 or 2003.
