How do I change the measurement from points to centimetres?
I am using word 2000. The margine mesurements are in points not centimeters.
When the document has been printed it doesn't look like it does on the screen. I thought maybe the reason was because of the measurements. Am I wright ? How do I fix the problem? |

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=299339 "You cannot change
ruler measurement unit from character units after upgrade to Office XP" or http://www.gmayor.com/Character_Units.htm . Sarah wrote: I am using word 2000. Hi Sarah,
You can change to centimeters in "Tools Options General". I'd take bets that the choice of units doesn't have anything to do with differences between screen and print. What view did you work in? "View Normal view" isn't meant to be WYSIWYG, it's rather aimed at making it easy to edit the document. "View Page layout view" should give a pretty good impression of what the printed document will look like. So (and probably more so) will "File Page preview". What are the differences you are seeing? I changed the measurements but that wasn't the problem. I am comparing what
has been printed off one computer and printer to another. Initially the measurements were different therefore I couldnt match it up exactly and thought that was the problem. But it hasn't made a difference. comparing the printed pages the font looks smaller the header and footer are too far into the middle of the page and the left margin is too big. Why is it like this when all the settings and options are the same? "Klaus Linke" wrote: Hi Sarah, You can change to centimeters in "Tools Options General".
