How to turn off code in Word that shows paragraph & tab marks?
I am using Word 2000 and accidentally activated the formatting or whatever
whereby every hard return appears as the stylized "P" symbol, every tab is a right-pointing arrow. It's visually distracting and I have no idea how to remove it. I've tried key combos of shift, alt, ctrl to undo, but nothing works. Please help. I am a student who's entering a new term and will be drafting many Word docs over the next 16 weeks. ARGH! |

How to turn off code in Word that shows paragraph & tab marks?
If you look on the Standard Toolbar you should see an icon with the end of
paragraph symbol (a backwards P) on it, click this to turn off these marks. Alternatively, click on Tools Options, click on the View section and remove the tick from the All box in the Formatting Marks section.
