how do you make a drop down list where you can choose more than one item on
the list? and once you make a template with a drop down list, how do you save a document with the drop down list choice you chose? |

Only one list item can be selected at a time - think of the items in the list as 1 OR 2 OR 3 OR 4. If you want users to be able to select multiple items, use Check Box fields instead. and once you make a template with a drop down list, how do you save a document with the drop down list choice you chose? Assuming you mean you want to have a 'default selection' appear in the Drop Down Form Field when a new doc is created based on the template, open the template, turn Protection off, double-click the field to get into Options, select the item you want as the default & use the up/down buttons to move it to the top of the list.
