Turning off automatic capitals after a period
I need to (continuously) type genus and species names, where the genus is
abbreviated - both Word and Publisher put initial caps on the species names - there must be a way to turn this function off! Can anyone advise on this? I change all the ones I find, but miss some, and the result is very unprofessional. Thanks. |

In Word 2003 or earlier, click Tools AutoCorrect Options. In Word 2007 , click Office button Word Options Proofing AutoCorrect Options. In either version, uncheck "Capitalize first letter of sentences". -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
