Default Page Numbering

I have a 52 page document in Word 2000. I want to add page numbers to
several of the pages, in different locations, i.e. pages 9-13 are numbered
1-5, and then pages 35-43 are numbered 1-8.

how would i go about doing this? is there any easy way of doing this?
