Default AutoText problem

I can insert any of the words in the
AutoText list, down to "Love". The moment I highlight it, or any word
after it, Word freezes, requiring Task Manager End Task.

Any guidance to correct this problem welcome.

It sounds like some corruption in normal.dot (or in an add-in or document
template containing autocorrect entries) - Rename the template to normal.old
and Word will create a new default template (or remove the offending add-in
or document template). Copy the parts that work from old to new using the
Organizer (Alt +F8 Organizer)
