Default I NEED HELP on recovering a file

I accidently saved a file the same name as my thesis major paper. Is there a
way for me to recover my thesis paper (pre-saved file)? I would basically
like to undo my re-written work and recover the file that was accidently
written over. How do i do that? Is there a backup check, disc/paper recovery
or any type of undo that i can try??? PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!!

Hi,

Unless you have a backup copy somewhere, it's gone. If you have a printout, you could scan that and use an OCR application to
convert the scanned images to text.

Regards
