Coloured background
I use MSpublisher to make posters, but I need to send them to people who do
not have MSpub. I would like to set them up in Word (XP) but I am having trouble in having a pastel background with a white text box in the middle. I believe I can do the coloured background by creating a picture which is the colour I need and adding it as a watermark. Why don't you stick with Publisher and convert your posters to .pdf files?

Yes. You need third party software to do that tho. If you don't have Acrobat
