Default "Protect Document" function

Normally, Protect Document function will not allow users to modify TEXT
attributes like bolding and italics. Is there a setting in Word that would
allow Protect Document to ALLOW character formatting but still DISallow STYLE
formatting?

Hi BW-

Explore the Protection Task Pane a little further by checking box #1's
Settings... link. It might not be a bad idea to read up on the feature before
making radical changes, though.
