My AutoText does not appear as I saved it
I created a template for a series of approximately 10 documents being updated
by about 4 different users. Within the document users can add tables like mini-checklists to be performed by the audience. I need all of the tables to have the same basic layout and text formatting. I created the table in the template. I created a series of 4 styles unique to the table. I saved the paragraph before the table, the table, and the Normal paragraph after the table as an AutoText in the template. I tested the AutoText in the template and it generated the correct table. Then I saved and closed the template. Next I opened one of the documents. I scrolled down to where I wanted to insert a new table using the AutoText. I typed the AutoText title and pressed Enter The table that was created had reassigned many of the entries to different Styles and even created a new style using the Symbol font, which was used to create the bulletted list within the table. It seems like the document is not distinguishing between characteristics in the AutoText entry and something is overlapping as the AutoText is being inserted into the document. I have the document attached to the template to automatically update the styles. Now when I open the documents, the styles are changed, but different from their style definitions in the template. (Template says 10 pt, Not Bold and the Document is now 12 pt, Bold.) Thanks you for any help or insight you can provide. -- Jack Rumple |
