Default How can i change the defaults settings for Drawing Tools Formati

Hi All,

I am using MS Office 2007 and i often use the Review tab to track changes
and add comments. Sometimes, to specify a particular area, i will Insert a
Shape (rectangle, circle, arrow...) around or pointing to the area. These are
inserted with some defaults that i inevitably use the Drawing Tools Format
tab and the Shape Styles panel to change the color to red, the line weight to
1 1/2 points and the fill to none.

Is there some way to change these defaults to match my preferences?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

I haven't tested this for Word 2007, but in previous versions, the way to do
this was to open the Normal template (Normal.dotm in this case), insert an
AutoShape and format it as desired, then right-click and choose Set
AutoShape Defaults. Note that this will affect text boxes as well as shapes.

Glad I could help. Note that if you just want to set the defaults for a
single doc, you don't have to open Normal.dotm.
