Default Cannot save on server

I have the following problem:

I am using Windows XP, with Office 2003.
When I write a document in Word 2003 I can save it locally on my PC.
However the system refuses to save the document on my (network) server.
When I use Wordpad, I can save a document on my PC as well as on the server.

Has anybody any idea what is going on?

Ricky

Call Microsoft for the hotfix described he

Cannot save a file to a shared folder on a server
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=895900

A temporary workaround may be to uninstall update KB885250. However, that
would leave you with a security vulnerability, and Windows Update would keep
trying to reinstall it.

A note about hotfixes: As long as you don't ask about anything else,
Microsoft will *not* charge you for the call.

I believe it has been fixed in the latest patches.
