Default I need to combine a symbol with a letter for medical terminology

I need to be able to print the "medical symbol" for with, which is a c with a
line over it, and without, which is an s with a line over it. I also need an
R, L, and other letters each surrounded with a circle, which are normal
sized. Some letters work that way with the parantheses on each side, but
some don't, and those that do work that way come out very small.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Thanks for your reply. I haven't tried it yet, but it makes sense to me.
