How do I deactivate Document Map

Click on the Document Map button on the Standard toolbar or View | Document

Playing around I went to "View" then (instead of Document Map), I clicked on
"Thumbnails" and my document map disappeared. And, when I re-opened normal.dot the Document Map (or Thumbnails) was gone. Hurrah! "Suzanne S. Document Map and Thumbnails are two entirely different (and entirely
