Default Word conversion of WordPerfect quote marks

When using converted WordPerfect to Word 2003 document, and when e-mailing to
client the quote marks show up on the other end as @, =, or a variation of a
Greek A. However, on my screen they are just plain smart quote marks. How
can I search for these and correct them?

You probably have the WP Typographic Symbols font installed. Unfortunately,
since these are inserted as symbols, they won't necessarily display this
font origin. You could try uninstalling this font, and then you will see the
same thing the client does.

Thanks Suzanne - I'll give it a shot later today.

I am having this same problem. I have looked in the Control Panel under
fonts, and "WP Typographic Symbols" is not listed. Is there anything else I
should be looking for? Could it be another font, or listed as another name?
Any help is much appreciated!

Are you seeing the quotation marks as quotes or as @ and =? If the latter,
it's because you *don't* have the font installed.
