Default Enable Microsoft Office Button Options

IT just installed Microsoft Office Suite 2007 on my computer. When I try to
open a 2003 Word document, the text does not show up in the new Word 2007.
When I click the Microsoft Office Button, then click "Word Options", the only
options I can change are in "Popular". I can not click "Display",
"Proofing", "Save", "Advanced" etc... or any other option in the menu. It
acts like it is locked. Could it be possible that IT installed Suite 2007
incorrectly.
NOTE: I am the only one in the office who is using 2007. I am a new
employee and requested to have 2007 installed and have used 2007 since it was
released. Other employees in the office are still using 2003.

What can be done to be enable or change settings in the Word Options Menu
once I click the Microsoft Office Button. I have not tried changing settings
in other software like Powerpoint or Excel. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Has Word been activated? If it has, and it is not an expired trial version,
see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...artingWord.htm.
