windows 98SE...
can't get the second page of an endnote page header to conform to the rest
of the document. everywhere else it is cool; different sections w/ same
perameters. every setting seems to be the same. the program won't let me
change the drop from the header to the copy in any of the traditional
manners. any cllues?

Sounds like something is wiggy with the Endnote Continuation Separator. See
here for how to access, reset, and then delete it. Even if you don't see
lines, I bet that's the key.

I agree. Probably someone deleted the separator but not the paragraph it is
in; you can't actually delete this paragraph, but you can format it to 1
point in either font size or line height.
