Cannot set layout to normal
Everytime I click on new document it displays the print layout. I changed the
layout to normal and saved it to the normal.dot. I am still showing the print layout. Any suggestions on how to set the normal layout permanently? Thanks. |

When you have normal.dot open and you change the view, you then have to do something to make Word understand that the file needs to be saved. Most easily, type a space and then backspace to delete it. Then save and close the template. Cannot set layout to normal
An additional "gotcha" that should probably be added to that article is that
Word 2007 won't open a document in Draft view (even if it's saved that way) unless you enable the option to open in Draft view (somewhere in Word Options). -- Suzanne S. Thanks, Greg. I had to leave for a meeting and didn't have time to open Word
