how do i directly print on legal dividers with bottom tabs
1. Will these things go through your printer? -- with some printers you'd
run a risk of damaging the print head when it meets the edge of the tab; and most printers use the edge of the paper to keep the paper straight, so alignment might be a problem if you print with the dividers at the bottom. 2. Can your printer handle that page size? -- ie, legal plus the depth of the tabs. 3. Can your printer actually print on to them? --probably not if they are made of polyethlyene If you're OK on the above points, create a document in Word that's the size of the divider including the tab. Position a textbox for the divider text, and away you go. how do i directly print on legal dividers with bottom tabs
Hi Jezebel,
That was great and thank you! But i'm still having problems with the margins. I need to print on the very very bottom of the page and it won't show up for the life of me. "Jezebel" wrote: 1. That too is a function of your printer. The printer driver tells Word how
close to the edge of the paper to allow. For some printers this is adjustable: look in Printer Properties and see if you have a 'borderless printing' option. Failing that, lie to Word about the size of the paper: make it legal plus the depth of the tabs plus a centimetre or so. But bear in mind, some printers really *can't* print very close to the bottom edge. You might have more success using PowerPoint - turn the text upside down and print with the tabs at the top.
