Default How do I disable spell check?

I have students that need to type essays for a State mandated test. I can
disable the Auto functions for correct and spelling, but I would like to
totally disable spell check for the duration of the test. Any suggestions?

Uninstall the spelling feature in Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs | Microsoft Office | Change | Add/Remove Features.

It's not really a reinstall; just changing features.

cborland isn't just "disabling spell check" -- they need to be sure
the students can't access it while taking a text. If you simply don't
want your spelling checked, go to where it is in the Options (depends
on your version of Word) and check "Do not check spelling or grammar."

Basically, Word implements only changes you make in the selections.
