Default Importing from Excel

I have a form letter that I need to import 3 columns of information into from
an excel spreadsheet. The form letter has very nice table type layout with
lines to separate each row and column for the data.

What I need is some way to import the info from cell a1 to the first "box"
cell b1 to the second, cell c1 to the third, tab twice to get to the second
row of the form letter and the do the same for a2, b2, c2 tab,tab... etc etc
etc.... until I run out of excel data.....

hope this makes sense. I've done some VBA in access but not in word......

Thanx

I don't know VBA nor do I know if you are talking about a large amount of
info, but here's a quick way to do what you want:

Select the data in Excel. Copy (control+c).
In Word, select the same number of rows and columns in your table. Paste
(control+v).

Tried that first.. This lumps all the data into one "Cell" of the form
letter. Also tried one column at a time. Same results.

What did you try first? If you don't select any cells in Word it pastes the
data as an embedded table in the cell with your insertion point. If you
select the cells in the Word table where you want the data to go, it should
paste fine.

Which version of Word/Excel are you using?
