Word Foot notes
When I use a foot note, the reference that appears above the word that I am
foot noting isn't a number. It looks like a horizontal line (-). I know that I can change the formatting but that doesnt seem to make a difference. The strange thing is that the footnote at the bottom of the page does show a number and not the weird line. Could someone please help me? |

It sounds as if the numbers may be just truncated. Are you using Exact line
spacing? What is the setting of the Compatibility Option "Don't add extra space for raised/lowered characters"? -- Suzanne S.
