Default Cannot reposition Word screen using left click/move with mouse

I recently received a word document in an email which I had sent out and been
able to open with no problems. When I tried to open it, it opened as normal,
however, the screen is positioned about halfway down on my screen. When I
left click on the top of the Word document and try to drag to reposition it,
it will not respond at all. It prevents me from reading the document at all.
Now when I open Word it gives me the same thing and I cannot use the program
properly at all. Any help is appreciated.

Hi VanD,

If it's the whole Word application which is positioned down the screen, see
if this suggestion from one of Herb Tyson's posts helps ...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usually, when you can't move a window by dragging its title bar, that means
that the window is maximized. What haplpens if you double-click the title
bar (the blue bar)? That should "restore" the window so that it can be
resized or moved.

If, when you double-click on the title bar, the window disappears, then it
probably is displayed off screen (the usual cause is that your screen
resolution was change at a time that Word was already close to the edge of
the screen). One way to fix this is as follows:

1. Make sure that at least two programs are displayed in the Windows task
bar;

2. Click on Word in the windows task bar;

3. Press Ctrl and click on any other open application listed in the task bar
;

4. Right click on Word (in the task bar) and choose Cascade or either of the
two Tile options.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regards.
