Default how do I convert publisher files to word document

I do not have publisher -can I convert a received publisher file to word. I
have word 2003

Not in the way you want - and not without Publisher.

Why do you think you would want to do that?

As per my question -I have received a publisher file and would like to view
it. I do not have ms publisher.
