Does the document contain comments or tracked changes? If so, it may be
reduced to allow for the marginal "balloons." If that's not the issue, you can select all the text and change the font size in a variety of ways. -- Suzanne S. no comments or tracked changes whatever that means. as you can see i'm not
very knowlgedable . if i select the text how do i change the font size for printing-i've already tryed to change it from say100% to 150% but it still prints in small type. I also tryed page setup for printer but to no avail. "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Does the document contain comments or tracked changes? If so, it may be reduced to allow for the marginal "balloons." Ctrl+A to select all, then choose a larger font size from the Font Size
dropdown or use Format | Font. There are also keyboard shortcuts that let you increase the size of all fonts by one point at a time or one listed font size at a time. -- Suzanne S. I would like to thank Suzanne very much. I have had the same problem and
spent hours and hours trying to find a solution. This is the only place to mention that comments might be the problem. Even the Microsoft site couldn't help. regards, Carol "Suzanne S. when i print out a document that i saved in word print too sma
I just bought new Dell running Vista with a wide screen monitor. Part of the
problem is "Shrink to Fit". On the wide screen monitor wider lines of text can be displayed. When I attempt to print such documents, the "Shrink to Fit" option uses smaller fonts to get the line of text to fit on an 8 1/2 inch page. The small fonts cause the tiny print. I have been working with the Dell and Microsoft Vista support teams but still don't have an answer. Downloading the latest driver from Dell for my wide screen monitor seemed to help somewhat. I have also played with combinations of the zoom feature (150%) seems to help. The text size option also seems to help. The printed text is still smaller than I would like but at least I can read most of the printed output without a magnifing glass now. To change the zoom and text size, click on the Page down arrow on the upper left of the Internet Explorer screen. -- Rich "rayman32" wrote: "Suzanne S. Correction, the page down arrow is on the upper right side of the screen.
You can also click the down arrow at the lower right of the screen to adjust the zoom. I have tried different zooms. Right now I am using Custom 130%. -- Rich "richtown" wrote: I just bought new Dell running Vista with a wide screen monitor. Part of the problem is "Shrink to Fit". This should not be an issue in Word at all unless you're using the Wrap to
Window option (now renamed, I think) in Draft View in Word to see longer lines of text. Otherwise Word always displays the document as it will be printed, and the line breaks and text size should not change. Now if you have Track Changes turned on and balloons enabled, a document containing markup will be printed reduced to allow for the marginal balloons. -- Suzanne S.
