how do I insert a chemical symbol in a word document
How do I insert chemical symbols using Microsoft Word 2002. I have clicked
insert and symbol but they are not listed there. Can anyone help? |

Do you mean Au, Mn, Li, etc?

If you'll tell us what symbols you want, we can probably be more helpful.
But if you haven't found the symbols in "(normal text)," try looking in Arial Unicode MS or look for a symbol font. Or perhaps you need to use the Equation Editor? Or possibly you're just looking to subscript the numbers (Format | Font | Subscript or Ctrl+=). -- Suzanne S.
