delete text boxes from a word document saving text
i have a large document (200 pages with pictures) created in a programme that
uses text boxes. I have saved it into a word document and want to get rid of the text boxes as I am having issues with the printing. I can save it as a pdf but I then can't edit the document. I am using word xp. |

delete text boxes from a word document saving text
First make sure they're really text boxes and not frames. If they're text
boxes, convert them to frames (Format Text Box | Text Box: Convert to frame). Once you have frames, you can use Format Frame | Remove Frame, but it's usually more efficient (if you just want to retrieve the text) to Ctrl+A, Ctrl+Q. Since the frame is rarely part of the paragraph style, resetting the paragraph to its default formatting will remove the frame, leaving the text. -- Suzanne S.
