Default slow loading of documents

What can you advise, please, if you don't have Norton AV installed? I do
have ZoneAlarm Security Suite. Again Windows XP SP2 and Office 2003.

Thanks.

Just recently Word documents are taking a long time to load. For instance
a
new blank doc can take up to 1 minute!!!
I am using XP and Office 2003.
It may be just coincidence, but this seems only to be happening since I
downloaded the new SP2 update.

Another possible cause of this is if the location of the templates folder
has been changed (i.e. a server has been renamed or changed).

Unfortunately this wasn't the case, however, I did delete normal.dot and that
does same to have resolved the problem.
