Default Stopping page-breaks in tables

So I know how to prevent individual rows within tables from breaking
over pages, but how to do it with a whole table?

With paragraphs of text you can variously use "keep with next" or "keep
lines together", but neither of these has any effect with a table AFAICS?

Am I missing something?

Thanks

As you probably understand, you cannot keep a table bigger than a page on
one page for obvious reasons: and there must be room for not only the table
but a following paragraph mark immediately under the table on that page too.
To keep a smaller table on one page by itself, you need to format keep lines
together AND keep with next paragraph properties. Then the table will stay
complete on a page.

"Keep lines together" has no effect in a table, and "Keep with next" has no
effect within a row. You must disable "Allow rows to break" *and* use KWN
between rows. See
