MS Word - Maximum number of pages
I'm developing a technical manual that will have 1,000 pages......wil MS
Word work for this application? The manual will have illustrations and text. CUrrently using Arbortext [sgml] and looking for an alternate product. |

MS Word - Maximum number of pages
Technical writers have reported using Word for documents upwards of 10,000
pages. Adding illustrations will affect performance somewhat; be sure you have plenty of RAM and available HD space. When possible, insert the illustrations inline and use "picture placeholders" (Tools | Options | View) to represent them except when you're actually working with them. Working in Normal view also helps, especially if you disable background repagination. -- Suzanne S.
