Default Quick Parts Question

If I want to save boilerplate in QuickParts that includes headers and footers
in that part of the document, how do I select the entire selection including
the header and footer so I can put it into Quick Parts? (my intention is to
create standard template sections for multiple users to have access to)

Or am I using the wrong way to solve this?

thanks

Default Quick Parts Question

You can do this if you include the section break at the end of the section
before you assign it as a Quick Part. The headers and footers for the section
should have the "Link to Previous" button (in the Header & Footer Tools ribbon)
turned off first.

When you insert this Quick Part into a document, if you don't want its headers
and footers to overwrite those of the existing section, you have to be sure
there is a section break just before the point where the Quick Part will be
inserted.
