Locating normal.dot
I am unable to locate normal.dot. I am using Windows XP, MS Word 2000. When I
search for it, it shows in search window the path for normal.dot as c:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates But I am unable to see the directory Application Data under 45! If I double click on the file found in Search, it is NOT openingnormal.dot. |

Locating normal.dot
In Windows Explorer (not Word), go to Tools Folder Options View
and select the option to display hidden folders. The Application Data folder is hidden. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
