Default Word 2007 Spellcheck - SmartArt

Is there a way to have Word 2007 spellcheck the smart art text. I don't see
any reference in the options to have it spellcheck words in the SmartArt.
Thanks...

Default Word 2007 Spellcheck - SmartArt

Hi MJag,

Word 2007's implementation of some of the new Office graphics engine features are limited in comparison to the other Office ribboned
apps.
Word, by default sets text in its Smart Art graphics to
[x] Do not check spelling or grammar
so it is ignored during spell check.

At present, you can create your SmartArt graphic in Powerpoint and it will spell check as you type (Powerpoint Smartart is a
graphics container working within larger graphic container, the slide). You can then copy and paste your SmartArt from Powerpoint
into Word.
Note that if you copy a SmartArt from Powerpoint that has a 'red squiggle' spelling error the Red squiggle will still show in Word
when you paste the SmartArt, but Word won't be able to 'see inside' of the graphic to be able to change it as by default, text
inside of a SmartArt graphic is seen by Word as having the
'[x] Do not check spelling or grammar'
attribute set by default when you paste even though in the reveal formatting text pane, a pasted SmartArt doesn't show that
characteristic.

In Word alone you can create the content outside of SmartArt (outline view may help), then paste it into SmartArt's outline form in
the SmartArt Text Pane(Type your text here) box.

For items already there, select everything in the box using Ctrl+A, copy and paste to a scratch document (outline view can be easier
to use for some folks), spell check there (you may need to go to the
Review=Proofing=Set Language setting and change the text to turn off the [x] Do not check spelling... box first) there then cut
and paste back to replace the existing SmartArt outline content.
