Default TOC follow on heading

I have a table of contents that spans a couple of pages. On the first
page I have a heading "Table of Contents". On the subsequent pages
for the TOC I would like the heading "Table of Contents cont'd" but do
not know how to do this.

I thought about page headers but this is not really dynamic.

Can anyone suggest a possible solution please.

Default TOC follow on heading

If you place the TOC in a separate Word section and then format the section
to have a "Different first page" (Page Setup dialog box) you can leave the
first page header blank and type "Table of Contents continued" in the main
header. Don't forget to unlink headers. For more, see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/H...oter.htm#Types.
