Default how to modify Word 2003 template toolbars without using Word 2007 ribbons?

Question: How to add to a toolbar of an "attached 2003 template" using Word 2007? I think it used to be Tools/Customize/ click on
toolbar outside of active box. Said another way, how can one modify a Word 2003 template toolbar without using Word 2007 ribbons?
Thanks All,
Gil

You can't modify them in Word 2007 alone. See
http://www.gmayor.com/Toolbars_in_word_2007.htm for a discussion.
You'll need a copy of Word 2003. If you still have it, both versions
can be installed side by side -- see
