Fields in header
Hi,
I currently have some fields inserted into the body of a report. Field is as follows: { DOCVARIABLE AO \& CLIENTSTATEID \* FORMAT[000 000 000] \* MERGEFORMAT }. This displays fine however the problem i experience is when i insert this field into a header and it is refreshed, i receive "Error! Unknown Switch Argument". Removing the \* Format[000 000 000] is the only method to correct the error, however i need the field shown in this format with spaces. Any help would be appreciated. |

Fields in header
You can't simply make up your own formatting switch names. You have to use
those provided What you probably need is { DOCVARIABLE AO \& CLIENTSTATEID \* # "'['000' '000' '000']'" } See http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org GMC wrote: Hi, I currently have some fields inserted into the body of a report.
