Supressing Enter in a form field
I'm using multiple form fields in a table layout and I want to prevent the
user from inadvertently pressing enter while in a field and adding an unnecessary new line. Is there a way to prevent this from happening without temporarily remapping the enter key ? -- Kevin Backmann |

Is there a way to prevent this from happening without temporarily remapping the enter key ? There are only two methods you can use. One of them is remapping the enter key (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211219). The other is to place each field in a separate cell of a table that has been formatted with fixed column width and row height. This doesn't really prevent the addition of empty paragraphs to the field, but it does prevent the field from expanding downward. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
