Default in a form create a macro to change a checkbox to checked

I am creating a form that can be completed in Word. I am trying to find out
how to make the check boxes change to checked boxes when clicked on. Thank
you, in advance, for any help you can give.

Use formfield checkboxes and protect the document (or at least the section
containing the checkboxes) for forms. The checkboxes change automatically
when clicked.

If you really want to do it by macro, use macrobutton fields, with the
checkbox symbol as the displayed text. When clicked, it changes the text to
a ticked checkbox symbol.

There are a number of ways to create and use clickable checkboxes in
documents / templates. Some require protected or locked forms, others do
not. Take a look at the Checkbox template available at
http://www.addbalance.com/word/downl...#CheckboxAddIn for an exploration
of these.

Thank you very much for all your help. I spent hours trying to create macros
and reading things that either did not apply or I just did not understand.

This is so very helpful. I really appreciate all your help.
